Facilitating Partnerships

The IISAAK OLAM Foundation (IOF) builds and strengthens relationships with respect, reciprocity, and responsibility.

Our partnerships are relational, emergent, and intentional, rooted in shared commitments to the Land, waters, and future generations. We take the time to build long-lasting relationships that centre trust, integrity, and mutual learning.

IOF acts as a bridge between Indigenous and Western knowledge systems. We also bridge connections between sectors, from conservation, law, and economics to engineering, agriculture, education, and community development. We recognize that the most impactful solutions arise when diverse ways of knowing are brought together with respect and care in Ethical Space.

We approach all partnerships through a systems lens, understanding that Indigenous Protected and Conserved Areas (IPCAs) can protect nature while also revitalizing cultures, building sustainable economies, supporting community health, and restoring ecological balance. This perspective allows us to work with a wide range of partners who understand IPCAs as holistic, place-based solutions.

We seek to collaborate with individuals, communities, and organizations who are aligned in spirit and vision: those who recognize the deeper purpose of IPCAs and are ready to walk alongside Indigenous Nations, governments, and communities in support of their self-determined goals.
