Anaïs Brusel
Braiding Knowledges Program Coordinator
Anaïs Brusel is an aspiring leader and entrepreneur in Transpersonal Psychology, dedicated to inner healing and community development. Hailing from Northern France, she embodies her homeland’s communal and generous spirit. With natural teaching skills, she finds joy in sharing knowledge and empowering others. Growing up in a farming family, Anaïs has fostered a spiritual bond with the environment.
She holds a Master of Arts in Development Studies and Diplomacy from the University for Peace (UPeace) in Costa Rica, where she developed diplomatic and communication skills. In her work with the IISAAK OLAM Foundation, Anaïs focuses on fostering cross-cultural understanding through the coordination of numerous projects focused on braiding knowledges and Ethical Space.
Guided by the collaborative spirit of the 2018 ICE Report, Anaïs wrote a Master’s thesis on experience sharing between Canada and Costa Rica, looking at Indigenous Peoples’ leadership on biocultural conservation across Canada, to facilitate community learning exchanges. Her commitment to reconciliation, environmental justice, and biocultural conservation drives her efforts to bridge gaps between knowledge systems and transpersonal healing.
